The American Design Club (AmDC) was founded in the spring of 2008, at a time when America’s role in the global design conversation was being questioned. Some argued that US-based designers could never match the influence or productivity of their European counterparts. Yet everywhere we looked, among friends, mentors, and recent graduates, we saw nothing but talent, ambition, and fresh ideas.

What was missing was a platform. The club was created to give American designers a space to share their work with a wider audience, to launch new ideas, and to connect with one another. From the beginning, our mission has been to showcase the strength and diversity of American design while fostering a community that supports collaboration, growth, and visibility. Welcome to the club.
